Y’all is considered to be a word, hence the reason you can find it in the dictionary. Prolly and lil are not. Little Heathie, most of the words in the English language cannot be found as keys on your keyboard. This does not necessarily mean they are not words.

      I thought y’all was considered a word!

I think the most important distinction is: writing like you speak versus speaking like you write. The former is entirely okay; the latter should be illegal!

May I bitch about the nominative and objective case? There is no sentence in the English language that begins with the word “me”.

Haha, you are so right! You may bitch as much as you want as well. “Me thinks you may.” 😉

I don’t use either of those “words” but am a fan of typing like I talk, which is often a direct spelling of how things just sound, like “y’all” for example. Speaking like you type is a different thing entirely and I hope I never hear someone do such a thing. But I like adding my own voice to my texts/emails however I can.
